Thank you for supporting my COVID-19 Quarantine Bird Photography Project, Birds of a Feather. These unprecedented times we are all going through have led to the placement of state laws requesting all residents in North Carolina stay at home and practice social/physical distancing when outside of your home. As a photographer, I could no longer do photoshoots with human clients so I turned to my surroundings to continue my photography while increasing my knowledge of the craft.
While sitting in my sunroom, I noticed the various type of birds thats were flying from tree to tree in search of insects and other food and I realized that I had found my quarantine muse, birds. I began positioning bird feeders and water features outside of my sunroom to attract God's beautiful creatures. With the assistance of seasoned bird photographers that provide direction and tips on YouTube, I was able to dial in the proper camera settings. I didn’t stop at just the correct camera settings, I also watch several videos to study the behavior of these magnificent creatures.
My time spent at home during the Coronavirus Pandemic has been spent photographing, editing and posting images of the various species that have graced my yard. I am very excited to share these images with you and to remind you all that we can find beauty in all that surrounds us. Enjoy!
